The narrative of Bathurst Medicinal Herbs is one of a country enterprise, celebrating the abundant land.
The goal is to source locally-grown herbs, establishing collaborations with area farmers to cultivate medicinal plants.
Anna was raised on sheep farms in Wattle Flat, nestled in the mountains near Bathurst. She has travelled throughout the world observing wild creatures and farm animals graze on herbs and acquiring knowledge from local women about the use of plants in cuisine was innate.
During the gold rush era, the Chinese and other communities utilized plants for healing purposes. These medicinal plants continue to thrive in our region.
Guided by horses, Anna has deepened her understanding of herbal medicine, which she has formalized through earning a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Western Herbal Medicine.
She resides on her small farm on the fringe of Bathurst growing and wild harvesting herbs and making herbal remedies for a range of conditions. Anna is also exploring how horses can assist in our healing and is developing a facility at the farm.
